Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar, born as Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia on September 9, 1967, in Amritsar, Punjab, India, is one of Bollywood’s most successful and versatile actors. Raised in Delhi and later Mumbai, Akshay showed an early interest in sports and martial arts. He studied martial arts in Bangkok, Thailand, where he also worked as a chef and waiter to support himself. His black belt in Taekwondo and training in Muay Thai laid the foundation for his future as one of Indian cinema’s premier action stars.

Akshay returned to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting and initially worked as a model. His debut in Bollywood came with the 1991 film Saugandh, but it was the 1992 film Khiladi that made him a star and earned him the moniker “Khiladi Kumar.” Throughout the 1990s, he established himself with a series of successful action films like Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Mohra, and Sabse Bada Khiladi.
