Amitabh Bachchan, often hailed as the “Shahenshah of Bollywood,” is one of the most iconic and influential actors in the history of Indian cinema. Born Vishal Bhardwaj on October 11, 1942, in Allahabad, India, he hails from a family with deep literary and cultural roots. His father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was a renowned Hindi poet, and his mother, Teji Bachchan, was actively involved in social work. Amitabh’s early life was marked by a strong focus on education, and he graduated from Sherwood College, Nainital, and later earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from the University of Delhi.

Bachchan began his career in the early 1970s, struggling to find roles in Bollywood due to his unconventional looks and towering height. His breakthrough came with the film “Zanjeer” (1973), which established him as the “Angry Young Man” of Indian cinema.
