Ashika Ranganath was born on 5 August 1996 in Tumakuru (Tumkur), Karnataka, into a Kannada-speaking family. Her father, N. Ranganath, is a civil contractor, and her mother, Sudha Ranganath, is a homemaker. She has an elder sister, Anusha Ranganath, who is also an actress in Kannada cinema
She attended Bishop Sargant School in Tumkur and later moved to Bangalore for pre‑university studies at Jyoti Nivas College, where she participated in the Clean and Clear Fresh Face Bangalore contest in 2014 and finished as the runner-up.
