Born Birender (Varinder) Singh Dhillon on 29 August 1975 in Dhuri, Sangrur, Punjab, Binnu Dhillon is a multi-talented Indian actor, comedian, model, television presenter, and film producer He holds a post-graduate degree in Theatre and Television from Punjabi University, Patiala, earned in the mid-1990s
He began his artistic journey as a Bhangra performer, even representing Indian culture at festivals in Germany and the UK. In 1998, he made his TV debut with the serial Parchhawain, written and directed by Gurbir Singh Grewal. His television career expanded through roles in popular series such as Sarhad, Lori, Gaoundi Dharti, Professor Money Plant, Padam Paria, Kankaal, Aaste, Pagdandian, and others.
Transitioning to cinema, he appeared in supporting roles in Hindi films like Shaheed-E-Azam (2002) and Dev D, both earning attention for his performances . However, his major breakthrough arrived with Punjabi comedies, particularly Carry On Jatta (2012), which cemented his reputation as a comedy powerhouse. His filmography boasts hits such as Lucky Di Unlucky Story, Jatt James Bond, Ambarsariya, Kala Shah Kala (a hit that grossed over ₹19 crore) Carry On Jatta 3 (2023) Gol Gappe (2023) and Pind Peya Saara Jombieland Baneya (2025)
