Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal Aggarwal is a celebrated Indian actress known for her work in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi cinema. Born on June 19, 1985, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, she comes from a Punjabi family. Her father, Vinay Aggarwal, is an entrepreneur in the textile business, and her mother, Suman Aggarwal, is a confectioner and Kajal’s business manager. Kajal also has a younger sister, Nisha Aggarwal, who has acted in South Indian films.

Kajal Aggarwal pursued her early education at St. Anne’s High School, Mumbai, and later graduated in Mass Media with a specialization in marketing and advertising from K.C. College, Mumbai. During her college days, she interned with L’Oréal, which introduced her to the modeling industry. Her photogenic charm soon landed her modeling gigs, which paved the way for her film career.

She made her acting debut in Bollywood in 2004 with Kyun! Ho Gaya Na…, but her major breakthrough came in the Telugu film industry with the 2007 blockbuster Chandamama, directed by Krishna Vamsi. However, it was her role as Mithravinda/Indu in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Magadheera (2009) opposite Ram Charan that catapulted her to stardom. The film became a historic hit and remains one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.

After Magadheera, Kajal became a sought-after actress in both Tollywood and Kollywood. She starred in a series of commercially successful films such as Darling, Brindavanam, Mr. Perfect, Businessman, Baadshah, Govindudu Andarivadele, Thuppakki, and Jilla. Her performances consistently showcased her versatility, emotional depth, and vibrant screen presence.

Kajal returned to Bollywood in 2011 with Singham, starring opposite Ajay Devgn, which was a box office hit. She followed this up with Special 26 alongside Akshay Kumar, which further solidified her presence in Hindi cinema.

Beyond films, Kajal Aggarwal is known for her philanthropic endeavors and advocacy for animal welfare. She’s also associated with several brand endorsements, reflecting her popularity and influence. Over the years, Kajal has evolved not just as a performer but also as a strong female figure in the Indian film industry.

In October 2020, Kajal married Gautam Kitchlu, an entrepreneur and founder of Discern Living. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Neil Kitchlu, in April 2022.
