Kiara Advani, born as Alia Advani on July 31, 1991, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a celebrated Indian actress known for her work in both Hindi and Telugu films. She comes from a well-connected and multi-cultural background, with her father Jagdish Advani being a Sindhi businessman, and her mother Genevieve Jaffrey, having Scottish, Irish, Portuguese, and Spanish ancestry. Kiara changed her name from Alia to Kiara before entering Bollywood, reportedly inspired by Priyanka Chopra’s character in Anjaana Anjaani.

Kiara made her film debut with Fugly (2014), a comedy-drama that failed to impress critics but marked her as a fresh face to watch. Her breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), where she played Sakshi Singh Dhoni, opposite the late Sushant Singh Rajput.
