Mehreen Pirzada

Mehreen Kaur Pirzada was born on 5 November 1995 in Bathinda, Punjab, India, into a Punjabi Sikh family—her father, Gurlal Pirzada, is an agriculturist and realtor, and her mother, Paramjit Kaur Pirzada, is a homemaker. She has a younger brother, Gurfateh Pirzada, who is also an actor and model.

From a young age, Mehreen showed interest in modeling, winning the title of Kasauli Princess at a beauty pageant at the age of 10. In 2013, she was crowned Miss Personality South Asia Canada during a pageant in Toronto, which opened doors to numerous modeling assignments, print ads, and commercials for brands such as Dove India, Nikon, Pears, and Thumbs Up.

🎓 Education & Early Interests

She attended a convent school in Punjab before enrolling at Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer, where she was active in the student council. Later, at Pathways World School, Aravali, she pursued IGCSE and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. During school, Mehreen volunteered with the National Cadet Corps, served in the Rotary Interact Club, learned air pistol shooting, and trained in Bharatnatyam dance. She was also awarded the Bronze/Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award for adventure and trekking.

🎬 Acting Career

• Telugu debut (2016): Mehreen made her film debut with Krishna Gaadi Veera Prema Gaadha (as Mahalakshmi), opposite Nani—a commercial success and earned her praise as a polished newcomer.

• Hindi debut & 2017 breakout: Featured as Anu Gill in Phillauri (2017), alongside Diljit Dosanjh, Anushka Sharma, and Suraj Sharma. Though the film underperformed, critics noted Mehreen’s “spark” on screen.

• That same year, she starred in several hit Telugu films: Mahanubhavudu, Raja the Great, and the bilingual Nenjil Thunivirundhal (Tamil debut) opposite Sundeep Kishan.

• Continued her Telugu success with F2: Fun and Frustration (2019), and branched into Punjabi cinema—debuting with DSP Dev (2019) and later Ardab Mutiyaran the same year.

• Recent work includes Entha Manchivaadavuraa (2020), Pattas (Tamil, 2020), Manchi Rojulochaie (2021), F3: Fun and Frustration (2022), and the action thriller Spark Life (2023) opposite Vikranth Reddy.

• In 2023, she made her OTT debut with the Hindi web series Sultan of Delhi as Sanjana on Disney+ Hotstar.

❤️ Personal Life & Public Image

Mehreen was briefly engaged to politician Bhavya Bishnoi in March 2021. However, the engagement was called off in July 2021 for personal reasons. On social media, she has attracted both praise and controversy—particularly for her portrayal in Sultan of Delhi, which faced criticism for a perceived intimate scene that was clarified by Mehreen as a portrayal of marital rape, intended to spotlight serious societal issues.
