Neeru Bajwa

Neeru Bajwa, born on 26 August 1980 in Surrey (Vancouver), British Columbia, Canada, hails from a Punjabi Sikh family; she is the daughter of Late Jaswant Bajwa and was raised alongside siblings Rubina, Sabrina, and Suhail . A passionate dreamer from a young age, she left high school and migrated to India to pursue acting.

Her Bollywood debut came in 1998 with Main Solah Baras Ki, marking the start of her cinematic journey . After initial roles, she found widespread acclaim in Punjabi cinema. Her debut Punjabi film Asa Nu Maan Watna Da (2004) was followed by major hits like Dil Apna Punjabi (2006), Mel Karade Rabba (2010), Jihne Mera Dil Luteya (2011), Jatt & Juliet (2012) and its sequel (2013), Laung Laachi (2018), and Shadaa (2019).

Parallelly, she starred in successful television dramas—including Hari Mirchi Lal Mirchi, Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani, Jeet, and Guns & Roses.

Besides acting, Neeru has made significant strides as a filmmaker. She launched Neeru Bajwa Entertainment (her production company) and debuted as a director with the 2017 Punjabi film Sargi, which also featured her sister Rubina in the lead role. Under her banner, she also produced successful films like Channo Kamli Yaar Di (2016), Munda Hi Chahida (2019), and Beautiful Billo (2022), the latter of which she also starred in.

One of her films, Laung Laachi, featured a title track that became the first Indian music video to surpass one billion views on YouTube, later amassing over 1.5 billion views by 2025.

In recent years, she continued her acting success with Jatt & Juliet 3 (2024), which set new box-office records as one of the fastest Punjabi films to cross ₹100 crore globally . She also starred in Shayar (2024) and appeared in the upcoming Hindi thriller Tehran (2025) alongside John Abraham and Manushi Chhillar .

Since 2021, she has hosted the Punjabi television show Jazba and remains a prominent figure both on screen and behind the camera.

On the personal front, Neeru married businessman Harry (Harmikpal) Jawandha on 8 February 2015. The couple has three daughters: Aanaya (born 2015) and twins Alia and Akira (born 2020). She often speaks about her pride in motherhood and the support she receives from her husband in balancing her demanding career and family life
