Ram Charan

Ram Charan is a prominent Indian actor, producer, and entrepreneur, best known for his impactful performances in Telugu cinema and his foray into pan-Indian films. Born on March 27, 1985, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to legendary actor Chiranjeevi and Surekha Konidela, Ram Charan was destined for the spotlight. He made his acting debut in 2007 with “Chirutha”, a film that showcased his potential and earned him the Filmfare Best Male Debut – South. However, it was the 2009 blockbuster “Magadheera”, directed by S.S. Rajamouli, that catapulted him to stardom and established him as one of the most bankable actors in South Indian cinema.

Over the years, Ram Charan has delivered numerous successful films such as “Racha” (2012), “Naayak” (2013), “Yevadu” (2014), “Dhruva” (2016), and “Rangasthalam” (2018) — the latter earning him critical acclaim and several awards for his role as a partially hearing-impaired man. He is widely appreciated for his versatility, screen presence, and commitment to his craft. In 2022, he played a key role in “RRR”, another S.S. He owns the production house Konidela Production Company, which has produced major films like “Khaidi No. 150” and “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”. He is also the co-owner of the Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club, and has interests in aviation and fitness industries.

In his personal life, Ram Charan is known for his humble nature and disciplined lifestyle. He married Upasana Kamineni, Vice Chairperson of Apollo Life and granddaughter of Apollo Hospitals’ founder, in 2012. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2023.
