Sayyeshaa Saigal

Sayyeshaa Saigal (born 12 August 1997 in Mumbai) is an Indian actress best known for her work in Tamil cinema, while also appearing in Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada films Hailing from a celebrated filmy lineage, she is the daughter of actors Sumeet Saigal and Shaheen Banu, grand‑niece of the legendary duo Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu, and great‑granddaughter of early Bollywood star Naseem Banu

Her early schooling began in England at Combe Bank School (now Radnor House Sevenoaks School), and upon returning to India in fifth grade, she attended Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai, excelling in the International Baccalaureate (scoring around 97 %) with a focus on the Science stream  A gifted performer, Sayyeshaa has trained extensively in classical and western dance forms. She began Latin‑American styles at age ten in London and later learned Odissi, Kathak, hip‑hop, Samba, Rumba, belly dancing—and even spent time in Rio and South Africa for intensive dance study

Sayyeshaa made her cinematic debut in the Telugu film Akhil: The Power of Jua (2015), earning a SIIMA nomination for Best Female Debut – Telugu  Her Bollywood debut followed in Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay (2016), gaining praise and a Stardust nomination for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female  In 2017, she entered Tamil cinema with Vanamagan, earning another SIIMA Best Debut Actress nomination

Sayyeshaa went on to star in several successful Tamil films such as Kadaikutty Singam, Junga, Ghajinikanth, and Kaappaan (2019), where her portrayal of the Prime Minister’s press secretary was noted for being more developed than typical female roles in the genre. She later appeared in the Disney+ Hotstar fantasy film Teddy (2021) and made her Kannada debut in Yuvarathnaa, receiving praise despite limited screen time

In her personal life, Sayyeshaa began dating actor Arya during the filming of Ghajinikanth, and they married in an Islamic ceremony on 10 March 2019 in Hyderabad’s Taj Falaknuma Palace. Their daughter Ariana was born on 23 July 2021Aside from acting, she enjoys singing, baking (sharing creations via her Instagram @cheesecakesbysayyeshaa), travel, yoga, boxing, and fitness, and has a deep love for cooking and desserts She also received a UAE Golden Visa in December 2022.
