Thalapathy Vijay, born as Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar on June 22, 1974, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the most influential and highest-paid actors in Indian cinema, particularly in the Tamil film industry. He is affectionately called “Thalapathy” (commander) by his fans, a title that reflects his strong fan base and charismatic screen presence. Vijay is the son of veteran Tamil director and producer S. A. Chandrasekhar and playback singer Shoba Chandrasekhar, which gave him early exposure to the world of cinema.
