Born on 4 May 1983 in Chennai (formerly Madras), Trisha Krishnan completed her schooling at Sacred Heart Matriculation School and earned a BBA from Ethiraj College for Women .She was discovered during her pageant days, winning Miss Salem and Miss Chennai in 1999, which led to a cameo in the Tamil film Jodi (1999) and later a Falguni Pathak music video in 2000.

Trisha’s first leading role came opposite Suriya in Mounam Pesiyadhe (2002), which was commercially successful.
