Vaani Kapoor is an acclaimed Indian actress and model who has carved a niche for herself in Bollywood with her striking looks and impressive acting talent. Born on August 23, 1988, in Delhi, India, she was raised in a Punjabi family with a business background—her father, Shiv Kapoor, is a furniture export entrepreneur, while her mother, Dimpy Kapoor, transitioned from being a teacher to a marketing executive. Vaani attended Mata Jai Kaur Public School in Ashok Vihar, Delhi, and later pursued a bachelor’s degree in tourism studies from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Her passion for performance and glamour led her to modeling, where she signed with Elite Model Management and worked with several renowned designers, appearing in popular commercials.

Vaani’s big break came when she auditioned for Yash Raj Films and landed her debut role opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in the romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013). Her performance was widely praised, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and positioning her as a promising newcomer in the industry. She followed it up with Aaha Kalyanam (2014), the Tamil-Telugu remake of Band Baaja Baaraat, showcasing her versatility beyond Hindi cinema.
