Thalapathy Vijay, born as Joseph Vijay Chandrasekhar on June 22, 1974, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is one of the most celebrated and influential actors in the South Indian film industry, particularly Tamil cinema. Son of renowned Tamil film director and producer S. A. Chandrasekhar and playback singer Shoba Chandrasekhar, Vijay was introduced to the entertainment world at a very young age.
