Vishal Krishna

Vishal Krishna, popularly known as Vishal, is a celebrated Indian actor and film producer who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. Born on August 29, 1977, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Vishal hails from a family deeply rooted in the film business. His father, G. K. Reddy, is a well-known film producer, and this exposure to cinema from a young age played a pivotal role in shaping Vishal’s interest in the film industry.

After completing his schooling at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Chennai, Vishal pursued a degree in visual communications at Loyola College. His academic background helped him understand the nuances of film-making, and soon after college, he began his journey in the film industry as an assistant director under Arjun Sarja, a notable actor and filmmaker.

Vishal made his acting debut with the film “Chellamae” in 2004, which turned out to be a commercial success. He quickly gained popularity with subsequent films like “Sandakozhi” (2005), “Thimiru” (2006), and “Thamirabharani” (2007). These action-packed entertainers established him as one of the most bankable stars in Kollywood. His rugged looks, charismatic screen presence, and ability to perform intense action sequences earned him a huge fan following across South India.

In addition to acting, Vishal also ventured into film production and launched his own production company, Vishal Film Factory, in 2013. Under this banner, he produced several notable films, including “Pandiya Naadu” (2013) and “Naan Sigappu Manithan” (2014), both of which received critical acclaim and performed well at the box office.

Apart from cinema, Vishal has also been active in industry politics. He served as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artistes’ Association) and was elected as the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC). During his tenure, he took various initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of actors and addressing industry-related issues.
