Vishnu Manchu

Vishnu Manchu, born Manchu Vishnu Vardhan Naidu on November 23, 1981, in Chennai, India, is a renowned Indian film actor, producer, and entrepreneur who predominantly works in Telugu cinema. He is the son of veteran actor and former Rajya Sabha MP Mohan Babu, making him part of one of the most influential families in the Telugu film industry. Vishnu grew up deeply inspired by his father’s illustrious career and was exposed to cinema from an early age. He completed his schooling at Padmaseshadri Bala Bhavan in Chennai and pursued higher education at Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, founded by his father, where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Information Technology.

Vishnu made his acting debut as a child artist in 1985 but officially entered mainstream cinema with the film Vishnu (2003), which won him the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award – South. His early films established him as a promising actor with a flair for action and comedy. Over the years, he delivered several successful films, including Dhee (2007), which was a major commercial hit and a turning point in his career, earning him recognition as a bankable star in Telugu cinema. His performances in movies like Denikaina Ready (2012), Doosukeltha (2013), and Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda (2014) showcased his versatility and comic timing, cementing his reputation in the industry.

Apart from acting, Vishnu is an accomplished producer and heads 24 Frames Factory, which has produced several popular films. He also serves as the CEO of the Mohan Babu Corporation (MBC) and is actively involved in managing Sree Vidyanikethan Educational Trust, demonstrating his commitment to education and philanthropy. His initiatives under the trust have provided quality education to thousands of underprivileged students in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Vishnu has expanded his influence beyond cinema by venturing into television, hosting shows, and playing an instrumental role in the Celebrity Cricket League, where he captains the Telugu Warriors team. In 2019, he was elected as the president of the Movie Artists Association (MAA), reflecting his leadership and respect among industry peers.

Known for his dedication to fitness, Vishnu is also admired for his charitable contributions and active support for social causes. He married Viranica Reddy, a relative of the late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, and the couple has four children. Vishnu continues to balance his personal life and professional commitments with admirable poise, working on films and projects that aim to entertain while bringing positive change to society.
