K. P. Jagan, also known as Jagan or Director Jagan, is a well-known figure in the Tamil film industry, primarily recognized for his work as a director, screenwriter, and occasional actor. He began his career in cinema not as a lead face on the screen, but behind it—building his reputation as a talented assistant director under some of Tamil cinema’s most reputed filmmakers. Jagan’s journey into the industry was marked by perseverance and an undying passion for storytelling.

His directorial debut came with the 2003 film “Pudhiya Geethai”, which starred Thalapathy Vijay, Meera Jasmine, and Amisha Patel. The film, although receiving mixed reviews at the box office, was appreciated for its emotional storyline and family-oriented themes.
