Sampath Nandi (born June 20, 1980, in Karimnagar, Telangana, India) is a prominent Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer primarily known for his work in Telugu cinema. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from V.L. College of Pharmacy, he assisted renowned writer Posani Krishna Murali for about three years. During this period, he also ventured into making ad films in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
In 2010, Nandi made his directorial debut with Yemaindi Ee Vela, a romantic drama starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Aggarwal. The film was a commercial success, completing a 50-day run in 32 centers . His next project, Racha (2012), featuring Ram Charan and Tamannaah Bhatia, became a blockbuster, completing a 100-day run in 38 centers across Andhra Pradesh.
Nandi continued his success with Bengal Tiger (2015), starring Ravi Teja and Tamannaah Bhatia, and Goutham Nanda (2017), a dual-role action drama featuring Gopichand . In 2021, he directed Seetimaarr, a sports drama based on Kabaddi, starring Gopichand and Tamannaah Bhatia.
Beyond directing, Nandi has contributed to various projects as a writer and producer. He is also known for his philanthropic efforts, including a significant donation to the Corona Crisis Charity to support daily-wage workers and artists during the COVID-19 pandemic .
